Graduation!

It's taken a while, but here are some pictures from our Blue Preschool Graduation! The boys all seemed to have a great time and it was a wonderful way to end such a fun year of preschool. We all missed Teacher B and J but everyone else was able to attend with their families for support.

Teacher and Preschool boys. We were all sure proud of those little boys and they were sure proud of themselves:)
From left to right: Teacher W and G, Teacher S and EM, Teacher J and P, Teacher C and EW, Teacher R and T.
Each of the boys had their own special chair to sit on for graduation (made by Teacher R).
The boys wore their Blue Preschool shirts and Teacher J made cute graduation hats for each one. They then took turns walking down the aisle and getting their cute diploma (made by Teacher C). It was really fun to watch them be so proud of themselves and grown-up as they shook Teacher W's hand and got their diploma.

T getting his diploma.
G getting his diploma.
P getting his diploma.
EW getting his diploma.
EM getting his diploma.
P then led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance- something the boy's learned really well since we did it every preschool class.
EW and Teacher C led the boy's in "Higgly Wiggly Bumblebee".
Each boy got to introduce themselves by saying their name in the song. T sure liked saying his name into that microphone!
G is so proud of himself after saying his name!
EW did NOT like it when everyone shouted for the song:)
P was very involved and sang the whole thing!
Each boy then got a turn to give a little talk about themselves where they told us a little bit what things they liked about preschool and what they had learned this year.

G was the first to go and he did a great job!
EM was next. It was great to see him speak up so well and not be scared at all. Way to go EM!
T loved that microphone and thought he was a pretty big boy and loved sharing what he had learned in preschool.
EW was so cute and made everyone smile.
P had his whole talk memorized and even used flash cards so he could do it all by himself! We decided he would probably be the Class President:)
After the talks and songs the boys passed out popcorn to everyone and we watched a slideshow (made by Teacher R) of music and pictures from our year of Blue Preschool. What a great way to finish out graduation and relive some fun memories.
All the boys with their diplomas. From left to right: T, G, EM, P, and EW.
Jumping for joy!
Yeah! We love Blue Preschool!
We did it!
The boys and their Teachers (Moms). What a fun group and what a great year of preschool we had! From left to right: Teacher W, Teacher S, Teacher J (who had just had her baby a few days previous!), Teacher C, and Teacher R.

We missed Teacher B and J so much and wished they could've joined us. Preschool would not have been the same without them!
Finally we had some refreshments and a big Bounce House (that Teacher C brought) for the kids to play in. We got down the big preschool banner and were going to have the kids break through it to get to the Bounce House as a final celebration. Well... they tried...
But they just bounced off it then when it fell down proceeded to run to the Bounce House. Notice all the parents laughing their heads off behind them, and Parker's dad (on the left) saying, "Why me" to himself.
The second time one of the Dads punctured the sign a little bit with his leatherman so the boys were able to break through. Too cute!
We did it! Wahoo!
Thanks to everyone for an amazing year!

Christmas Party

We had a great Christmas party that W put on for our last day of Blue Preschool of this year.  It was a lot of fun and we were so glad to have everyone there!

The kids started out by painting popsicle stick Christmas tree ornaments with their Moms.  After they were dry the Moms could put a picture of their child in the tree!
After the painting we played pin-the-nose on Rudolph (that R had made) and the kids thought it was pretty fun to put on a blind-fold.

Next B helped the kids play Santa bowling. All the kids were pretty good at this and had fun knocking the pins down and helping B set them back up again.
The kids then got to take a whack at a candy cane piñata that C had brought.  Some of those kids have very strong arms!  They thought that was fun and were excited to get little airplanes and treats from the piñata when they broke it open.
B and J then took the kids into another room and they read some Christmas stories while the other Moms got lunch ready.  For lunch we made quesadillas, carrots, snowman pretzels, reindeer sausages, and had a wonderful fruit Christmas tree that J made.

Finally all the kids got to sit in a circle and pass around their white elephant presents that they had brought while singing Once There Was a Snowman!  After the song ended they got to open up the present and see what they got!  It was a fun party and we hope everyone has a great Christmas and New Year!

This is the Place Heritage Park

Our first field trip was a great success!  We met up at This is the Place Heritage Park and had a great morning with all the Blue Preschool kids.  Before we went into the park all the kids got their new field trip t-shirts that R made.  The shirts say "BLUE preschool" on them and the kids all loved wearing them!  It was also nice and easy for the Moms to spot where our kids were at all times.

To start off we went on a train ride around the park.
All the kids got to pan for gold in the stream.  Here is S helping from left to right: T, EM, J, and P pan for gold... with some of their siblings.
Each kid found a little piece of "gold" from the creek that they were able to trade in at the Bank for a piece of candy.  Here they are making their transaction.
We also rode the little train around the lake 3 times and the kids loved singing Old Mcdonald and screaming in the tunnel.  We also took a quick stop in the school house so the kids could see how children went to school in the pioneer times.  They liked drawing on their slates as they finished their candy from the banker.
Then we over to the pony ride where each kid got to take a ride on a horse.  They were all very brave and seemed to enjoy themselves.  Here is T on the front horse and G on the back horse taking their turns.
After the pony rides the kids were able to pet the sheep and goats. The also were able to look at the cows, pigs, and rabbits.  How fun for them to learn about these animals on Tuesday then get to see, pet, and ride them on Thursday!
We ended up with a little play time at the kid's village where all the boys enjoyed running around and playing in the houses and on, yet another, train.  Here is P, G, and J at the firehouse.
